About BusinessInfo.cz

Why BusinessInfo.cz?

The primary impulse for creation of BusinessInfo.cz was fragmented information provided by the state administration of the Czech Republic. Before the portal was established in 2001, entrepreneurs had to browse through tens of websites to find answers to their questions concerning a seemingly closed topic such as the process of establishing a business or exporting goods. There was no consolidated system and detailed method of presentation of information and services that would be easily and promptly accessible to entrepreneurs and exporters.

Experience from economically advanced countries shows that concentration, classification, and presentation of all information on doing business and for doing business in a single accessible and clearly organized place can significantly contribute to better information competitiveness of economic entities and their export abilities.

Therefore the Ministry of Industry along with relevant institutions launched the project called BusinessInfo.cz.

Who is the project designed for?

For entrepreneurs-beginners there is a set of information and knowledge in the form of guides and instructions that help to solve daily “life situation” of entrepreneurs.

For IT-advanced entrepreneurs there are channels for electronic dossier exchange within the interactive relationship: state administration – entrepreneur (you can fill in the form in your computer and send it to the particular state body via the Internet).

For experienced exporters and businesses with export potential there is consolidated information on the possibilities, news, events and specific business opportunities from foreign markets concentrated from multiple sources of the public and private sphere. The portal integrates and provides joint offer of services of the state abroad, i.e. services to companies by state representatives in the sphere of export and investment. We also provide information on particular countries compiled and updated by territorial managers.

For journalists we provide market information, feedback from entrepreneurs concerning the existing or projected directives in the Czech Republic and the EU, or an outline of interesting interviews and events.

For foreign entrepreneurs we provide information in foreign languages on the conditions of doing business, investments and opportunities of doing business with Czech companies.

For the general public we process information from the public administration and other institutions.

The main services of the portal

Looking for electronic forms on the Internet

Instead of rewriting data on a paper form we make it possible to fill in and work with verified forms and applications of state authorities and institutions via the Internet or offline on PC. The application is designed to send form data directly to competent authorities – i.e. handle the case online. Moreover, the application works with user registration data in the forms and reduces time necessary to fill in any future newly processed form. For more details see the application Electronic forms. (in Czech version only)

Looking for support and subsidies for private business

The Support and Subsidies service contains extensive database of subsidies from European funds and from the Czech state budget. There is also support available from regions and other entities. The database is updated on an ongoing basis and allows for convenient search based on selected criteria. (in Czech version only)

Looking for a foreign customer

The database includes current foreign inquiries from all sources of the public administration. You can search the database of foreign inquiries by the customs tariff class, particular areas, time period or the key word. Every week there are tens of new inquiries in the database. (in Czech version only)

Taking part in seminars, conferences, trade missions or other events

The Calendar of Events includes a detailed outline of local and foreign trade fairs, seminars, conferences or trade missions. The database provides extensive possibilities of search and sufficiently broad base of records. In the Calendar you may search by the event organizer, sector (focus of the event), date of event or the key words.

Looking for guidelines as how to proceed in dealing with state administration bodies

The database of “life situations of entrepreneurs” contains guidelines verified and updated by relevant authorities for particular processes of the business life cycle. The guidelines overlap standard agenda of authorities and institutions. You can find guides as to how to establish various forms of trade, how to establish a company, trademark or how to make export insurance. (in Czech version only)

The portal is not a mere signpost but also a guarantor of procedures and guidelines that link particular institutions, organizations and information channels.

Export

All foreign trade information from official and private sources will be even more concentrated at the portal BusinessInfo.cz. In the well-arranged structure you will find an overview of the joint offer of state services abroad.

Presentation of the Czech Republic abroad

The portal and its new multiple language versions will visually and through provided information support activities leading to building-up positive image of the Czech Republic abroad as the key support of exporters.

Electronic forms and other online services

The database of 40 most frequently used forms that you will be able to fill in online on the Internet will save your time and cost. Other 150 forms, patterns and templates will be concentrated in the database of BusinessInfo.cz portal. Through the database you will be able to use online the services of other public administration institutions.

The portal will further provide information on current or extraordinary projects whose importance exceeds the framework of a single ministry or institution.
