Certificate of Flock of Origin - granting approval step by step 

The activity consists in issuing certificates on the flock of origin, which is required for the production of hatching eggs. The certificate may only be issued by recognised breeding associations for domestic breeds, or authorised entities for breeds relocated from other EU Member States or imported from third countries.

While recognised breeding associations may issue the said certificate automatically, without having to comply with any further conditions, persons in charge must obtain a resolution granting approval from the Ministry of Agriculture. The Ministry shall issue the approval on the basis of a written application.

Application for approval to carry out professional activities under Article 11(4) Act No. 154/2000 Coll.

  • The application shall be submitted to the Ministry of Agriculture
  • It is recommended to use the application form from the Annex 1 of the Decree No. 448/2006 Coll.

The application shall be enclosed with:

  • a documentary proof of at least five years of experience in international testing, where the subject of testing was poultry

The ministry shall issue a resolution on granting approval within 60 days.

The business may be conducted after fulfilling all the above stated requirements.
