Accrediting body under the Act on Public Administration Information Systems – conditions

The document refers to the conditions for granting authorization to perform accreditation in accordance with Act No. 365/2000 Coll., on public administration information systems and other information on the licensing procedure.
Conditions for granting a licence
The applicant must be a member of international associations involved in accreditation and designated by the ministry. They must also ensure the material, personnel, and organizational provisions and the resources needed for performing this activity. The application for accreditation is submitted to the Ministry of Interior of the Czech Republic.
Application requirements
To the application for authorization to perform accreditation, the applicant shall attach:
- founding charter if it is a legal entity
- proof of the material, personnel and organizational prerequisites for the activities of an accrediting body
- proof of membership in international associations involved in accreditation and designated by the ministry, with the method and scope of meeting the obligations arising from membership
- proof of the resources needed for performing the activities of an accrediting body
- the conditions and procedures for assessing accreditation applicants (hereinafter “Accreditation Rules”), which shall be in accordance with the rules of international associations involved in accreditation designated by the ministry

Procedure for granting a licence
- The applicant shall send the application for the grant of accreditation to the Ministry of Interior of the Czech Republic. The procedure will proceed in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Code.
Application clearing deadline
- 30 days from the day when the respective office receives the application, including attachments.

- CZK 10,000
Validity period of the licence
- Period of validity is not determined.
Authorisation granted by expiration of deadline period
- Yes, under this procedure authorisation is granted by default once the deadline period has expired.
