Conditions for granting a licence

The attestation will be performed by an attestation centre authorized to perform attestation on the basis of a decision by the Ministry of Interior on an application for authorization to perform attestation.

Application requirements

The ministry shall issue a decision on authorizing an attestation centre to perform attestation if the application for authorization to perform attestation is accompanied by:

  1. draft of attestation conditions
  2. certificate of accreditation
  3. confirmation from the pertinent authorities that the applicant has no arrears on premiums for public health insurance, on withholdings for social security, on withholdings for the state employment policy, and has no record of tax arrears

Procedure for granting a licence

The applicant shall first send the application for accreditation to the Czech Institute for Accreditation, then apply to the Ministry of Interior of the Czech Republic for a grant of authorization to perform attestation. The procedure will proceed in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Code.

Application clearing deadline

  • 30 days from the day when the respective office receives the application, including attachments.

Fees

  • CZK 10,000

Validity period of the licence

Authorization to perform attestation shall be granted for a maximum period of 5 years. The ministry shall renew periods of authorization to perform attestation for a maximum of 5 years if the attestation centre meets the conditions laid down.

Authorisation granted by expiration of deadline period

  • Yes, under this procedure authorisation is granted by default once the deadline period has expired.
