Minister of Education Kateřina Valachová, Minister of Labour and Social Affairs Michaela Marksová, Minister of Industry and Trade Jan Mládek, Deputy Prime Minister for Science and Research Pavel Bělobrádek, Coordinator of the Digital Agenda of the Czech Republic Tomáš Prouza, and the Czech ICT Alliance have signed an agreement to establish the Czech National Coalition for Digital Jobs.
Its main objective is to regulate cooperation between the public sector, the private sector, academia and other partners in the field of digital education. The Coalition will now have three months to hold initial meetings, define the priorities to be addressed, and to publish a call for any other parties interested in joining this open initiative.
Support for digital jobs serves as a broad term for activities during which a person uses digital technologies to meet determined objectives, and thus contributes to the collective building and development of the digital economy of the Czech Republic. Education in the field of digital technologies will contribute to improving labour efficiency and the performance of industry as a whole.
Through this agreement, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports has established the Coordination Group, whose task it will be to coordinate the activities of the Coalition, to organise regular member meetings, to initiate the formation of working groups of the Coalition, and to prepare conclusions and recommendations in the field of digital jobs, digital education and digital technologies in the professional and personal lives of Czech citizens.
