Day care of children up to the age of three - licencing step by step

This activity is considered to be the educational care of entrusted children up to the age of three in a daily or weekly cycle focused on the development of psychological, speech, mobility, work, musical, and artistic skills and culturally-hygienic habits corresponding to the age of the child. Ensuring the health and safety of children, their staying outside in the fresh air, providing meals, sleep in an appropriately hygienic environment, and providing for children's personal hygiene, including the provision of first aid.

Notification of a professional trade

The notification is submitted:

  1. at any trade licence office
  2. via public administration contact points (the so-called Czech POINT) – in Czech only
  3. electronically, via the information system provided by the Register of Trade Business

Form of submission

Notification may only be submitted using the so-called Single Registration Form.

Documents evidencing professional competence should be attached to the notification. In this instance, professional competence shall mean the following:

Professional competence to pursue the profession of general nurse or health assistant or carer or midwife or paramedic or general ambulance attendant under specific legislation, or professional competence to pursue the profession of social worker or social services worker under specific legislation, or

However, the condition of professional competence must also be met by employees actually performing the activities. In this instance, professional competence shall mean the following:

  1. professional competence to pursue the profession of general nurse or health assistant or carer or midwife or paramedic or general ambulance attendant under specific legislation, or professional competence to pursue the profession of social worker or social services worker under specific legislation, or
  2. evidence of three years experience in the profession in an independent capacity (sections 2 and 23 of the Commercial Code) or in an employment relationship, or
  3. evidence of the recognition of the professional qualification in accordance with specific legislation.

Besides these documents, no other facts need to be evidenced for this trade.

If the conditions for trade notification stipulated by the Trade Licensing Act have been met, the trade licence office shall make an entry in the Trade Register within 5 days of the delivery of the notification and shall issue a copy of the entry to the business person.

The business may be conducted after fulfilling all the above stated requirements.
