An authorized person is a person who has the authority to certify the manner defined in the subject assessment standard for determining the professional qualification of the applicant – i.e. authorization to test and issue certificates on the achievement of professional qualifications.
Granting authorization is based on Act No. 179/2006 Coll., on verifying and recognizing further education and on amending certain laws (the law on recognizing further education) as amended.
The applicant first selects which professional qualification he would like to receive authorization for. Pursuant to the specialization, individual professional qualifications fall under the authorizing bodies, which are the central administrative authorities. Consequently, it is necessary to submit the application for authorization to the appropriate authorizing body with authority over the professional qualifications that are the subject of the validation. The application for authorization is subject to an administrative fee. The authorizing body will issue its decision on granting authorization within 30 days.
Procedure for obtaining authorisation:
1) Choice of professional qualifications
A list of all professional qualifications, including other important information regarding professional qualifications can be found on the website of the National Qualifications Framework. For each professional qualification, the authorizing body with competence over it is given. The application for authorization should be sent to this authorizing body. For example, an applicant shall send authorization for the professional qualification of dairy farmer to the Ministry of Agriculture, authorization for the professional qualification of catering and accommodation services to the Ministry of Regional Development.
Other important information regarding the authorization process can also be found on the website of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, as well as on the websites of the individual authorizing bodies.
Upon the completion proceed to the next step
