Conditions for granting licence

Authorization will be granted to applicants who:

  1. are legal entities or natural persons who are entrepreneurs
  2. own the instruments necessary for official measurements or who have contracted their availability and can demonstrate their metrological traceability
  3. show procedures for the different types of measurements that are the subject of the authorization
  4. provide a certificate of the metrological and technical qualifications to perform official measurements
  5. demonstrate professional qualifications with a certificate of professional qualifications for official measurements under the conditions established by the Office

Application requirements

In their application, the applicant shall state the following:

  1. identification information (name and surname, address, place of business and identification number of a natural person, or the business name, address and identification number of the legal entity)
  2. field or fields of measurements, including measuring ranges and the achievable uncertainties of measurement to be subject to the authorization of performing official measurements
  3. list and the metrological parameters of measuring instruments for performing official measurements,
  4. list of normative technical documentation relating to the respective measurement
  5. certificate of professional qualifications of an official measurer issued by an accredited certification body or a certificate of professional qualifications of an official measurer issued by the Office
  6. certificate of metrological and technical qualifications as prescribed by law
  7. reasons required for granting authorization
  8. proof of qualifications if they are required for the given field of measurement by other regulations
