Conditions for granting a licence

The licence may be awarded on the condition that:

  • the technical equipment complies with the envisaged type and scope of activities for which the licence is sought
  • laboratory testing is to be performed by persons with at least a full secondary vocational education in the field of agriculture, chemistry or biology
  • results of laboratory validation tests conducted by the institute were found to be within the range of tolerance specified by technical standards

Application requirements

  • name and surname, and/or trade name, site where the activity is to be performed, address and identification number (for individuals), and/or trade name, registered address and identification number (for legal entities)
  • data on technical equipment
  • details on the educational qualification of expert staff
  • scope of activity for which the licence is to be awarded

Procedure for granting a licence

  • The request shall be approved and assessed by the Central Institute for Supervising and Testing in Agriculture. Under the licensing procedure, the Authority shall perform an on-site investigation to review the technical equipment and specialist knowledge of the field.

Application clearing deadline

  • N/A (as specified under Article 10(4) of the Act on fertilisers as amended, issuance of the licence is not liable to the Administrative Code.

Fees

  • Fee of CZK 1000 (point 22(b) of the Tariff Scale of Administrative Fees)

Validity period of licence

  • Unlimited term of authorisation

  • Act No. 156/1998 Coll., on fertilisers, supplementary soil substances, supplementary plant preparations and substrates and on agrochemical testing of agricultural land (Act on Fertilisers), as amended, as amended
  • Decree No. 275/1998 Coll., on agrochemical testing of agricultural soils and on determination of forest soil properties, as amended (Article 10)
