At the same time, the Czech Republic improved it position in terms of the absolute value of the competitiveness index, from 4.69 to 4.72. Switzerland, which leads the ranking, has the value of 5.81. The maximum value that a country can achieve is 7. According to the methodology of the World Economic Forum, the Czech Republic is thus the 13th most competitive economy in the European Union and achieved better results than the other countries in the Visegrad group.

The Czech Republic received the best ranking in the international comparison in the areas of the macroeconomic environment, basic education, higher education and financial markets.
