This trade includes activities associated with the valuation of movable and immovable assets (buildings, flats, and non-residential premises, plots, permanent vegetation, including forests), intangible and financial assets and enterprises; further, activities associated with the valuation of claims, valuation of assumption of liability, and valuation of provided reinsurance, etc.

Notification of a professional trade

The notification is submitted:

  1. at any trade licence office
  2. via public administration contact points (the so-called Czech POINT) – in Czech only
  3. electronically, via the information system provided by the Register of Trade Business

Notification may only be submitted using the so-called Single Registration Form.

Documents evidencing professional competence should be attached to the notification. In this instance, professional competence shall mean the following:

For evaluation of movable and immovable assets:

  1. higher education in a study programme and field focusing on property valuation, or
  2. higher education and lifelong learning in accordance with specific legislation (section 60 of Act No. 111/1998, Coll.) consisting of at least 4 semesters focusing on the valuation of a given category of property, or
  3. higher education or further vocational education or secondary education with a school-leaving examination in the relevant field in which valuations are to be carried out, and lifelong learning in accordance with specific legislation (section 60 of Act No. 111/1998, Coll.) consisting of 2 semesters focusing on the valuation of a given category of property, or
  4. higher education or further vocational education or secondary education with a school-leaving examination in the relevant field in which valuations are to be carried out, and the completion of a post-secondary qualification course consisting of at least 2 school years focusing on the valuation of a given category of property, or
  5. higher education or further vocational education or secondary education with a school-leaving examination in the relevant field in which valuations are to be carried out, and 2 years’ experience in the profession, or
  6. a retraining certificate or other evidence of professional qualifications for the relevant employment activity, issued by an establishment accredited in accordance with specific legislation, or by an establishment accredited by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, or by a ministry in whose purview the sector in which the trade is operated falls, and 5 years’ experience in the profession.

For valuation of intangible assets, financial assets, and enterprises:

  1. higher education in a study programme and field focusing on property valuation, or
  2. higher education and lifelong learning in accordance with specific legislation (section 60 of Act No. 111/1998, Coll.) consisting of at least 4 semesters focusing on the valuation of a given category of property, or
  3. higher education and lifelong learning in accordance with specific legislation (section 60 of Act No. 111/1998, Coll.) consisting of at least 2 semesters focusing on the valuation of a given category of property and 2 years’ professional experience.

Besides these documents, no other facts need to be evidenced for this trade.

If the conditions for trade notification stipulated by the Trade Licensing Act have been met, the trade licence office shall make an entry in the Trade Register within 5 days of the delivery of the notification and shall issue a copy of the entry to the business person.

The business may be conducted after fulfilling all the above stated requirements.
