Event Description

The 18^th International Fair of Eye Optics, Optometry and Ophthalmology Opta will be held on February 24 – 26, 2011 at the Brno Exhibition Centre.

• the most important specialised presentation of eye optics and ophthalmology in the Central and Eastern European region
• organised in cooperation with the Association of Czech Opticians and Optometrists
• presentation of top fashion spectacle frames, glasses and contact lenses, technologies and equipment
• centre of education offering numerous specialised lectures and seminars, including the International Congress OPTA for Optics and Optometry Educators and Professionals

There are approximately 1,400 eye doctors, 1,060 optics shops, 140 suppliers of spectacle frames, 14 suppliers of glass lenses, and 6 suppliers of contact lenses in Czech Republic. 3.2 million glass lenses were sold in 2005 and Czechs spent almost 4 billion CZK for glass frames and contact lenses.
