Event Description:

The Intenational Food Fairs SALIMA comprising of the 27th International Food Fairs SALIMA, the 5th International Milling Industry, Bakery, and Confectionery Fair MBK, the 24th International Fair of Equipment for Retail Trade, Hotels and Catering Facilities INTECO, the15th International Wine Fair VINEX, and the International Trade Fair of Packaging, Paper and Printing Industry – materials, machines and technologies EMBAX PRINT, will be held from 2 to 5 March, 2010 at the Brno Exhibition Centre.

Brief description

  • The complex of food fairs SALIMA gives a full overview of the food industry in Central and Eastern European countries.
  • High internationality of exhibitors = almost one quarter (23.4 %) came from abroad
  • Record-breaking number of 17 official participations – Albania, Brazil, Czech Republic, France, Croatia, South Africa, Canada, Hungary, Germany, Poland, Austria, (Salima and Vinex), Greece, Singapore, Slovakia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, USA; Albania and Singapore were represented for the very first time. Record-breaking 18 foreign countries exhibiting in the VINEX fair.
  • The highest number of foreign professional visitors of the fair in the whole history (total of 5,334 visitors representing an increase of 6.6 % compared to 2006)
  • Foreign exhibitors share was 14.2 %; most visitors come from Slovakia, Poland, Austria, Hungary, and Germany
