After a two-year break, Czech innovative companies in the area of creative industries can again register in the Creative Business Cup international competition.
The national round, which will take place on 25 September 2018 at the Depo2015 incubator in Plzeň, is open to all entrepreneurs with viable concepts, whose potential to succeed at the international level will be assessed by the competition’s jury. Supported areas include, for example, design, fashion, architecture, advertising, film photography, gastronomy, leisure activities, toys, music, radio broadcasting and television, as well as computer games and 3D printers.
CzechInvest is the organiser of the Czech national round. “Support for the establishment of innovative companies in creative fields and their commercialisation on foreign markets is of key importance for the future. Creative industries are contributing to economic growth around the world and are gaining importance, particularly within the current transition to the digital economy. The situation is no different in the Czech Republic,” says Vojtěch Rajtr, head of the Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and Regions Division at CzechInvest.
The purpose of the competition is not only to bring creative entrepreneurs together with investors and support their entry into the global market, but also to enhance business skills and development of interdisciplinary innovations. More than seventy countries on five continents are involved in the event. The winners of the national rounds will advance to the international final on 26-27 November 2018 in Copenhagen, where they will present their concepts to the expert public and investors.
