Patrik Reichl, who has been with the agency for 14 years, and has been in charge of the regional office in Brno for the past 5 years was temporarily entrusted by the management of the Agency for Business and Investment Promotion CzechInvest.
Reichl thus replaced Silvana Jirotková, who would continue to pursue the agenda of the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade.
“My task is to implement the measures resulting from the Innovation Strategy of the Czech Republic 2019-2030 and the new strategy of CzechInvest prepared by my predecessor. I will continue to converge with the CzechTrade, which should result in the merger of both agencies”says Patrik Reichl.
Many years of experience, knowledge of CzechInvest's environment and processes as well as his contribution to the preparation of the agency's new strategy were the reason for Reich’s entrustment to manage it. The Ministry of Industry and Trade will seek a new CEO by a selection procedure to be announced this fall. Given the Ministry's plan to merge CzechInvest and CzechTrade, it is likely that the next CEO will be a head of both merged agencies. Reichl should thus manage CzechInvest for about half a year.
Patrik Reichl graduated from the University of Economics in Prague and from Brno International Business School. He has been with CzechInvest since 2005 first as Director of its South Moravian Office, later as Director of the Division of Regions and between 2010 and 2012 as Deputy CEO for Business Environment Support. In 2014, he returned to the activities of the director of the South Moravian office. Patrik Reichl is married and has three sons. He likes gardening and farming.
