The reception, storage and preparation of raw materials, the production of dough and paste, their processing (for example by rolling, pressing, spraying, dividing, whipping, modelling or cutting), heat treatment (such as baking, drying, frying, boiling, roasting or microwave heating), filling (before or after the heat treatment), and surface finishing (such as the sprinkling, icing, glazing, coating, decorating, or spreading) of bakery and confectionery products. The trade also covers the production of cereal mixtures, products from various mixtures, expanded and extruded products, confectionery, chocolate and chocolate sweetmeats and baking frozen oven-ready bakery products. Notification of an unqualified trade.

The notification is submitted:

  1. at any trade licence office
  2. via public administration contact points (the so-called Czech POINT) – in Czech only
  3. electronically, via the information system provided by the Register of Trade Business

Notification may only be submitted using the so-called Single Registration Form.

Documents evidencing professional competence (see conditions for carrying on the trade) should be attached to the notification. Besides these documents, no other facts need to be evidenced for this trade.

If the conditions for trade notification stipulated by the Trade Licensing Act have been met, the trade licence office shall make an entry in the Trade Register within 5 days of the delivery of the notification and shall issue a copy of the entry to the business person.

The business may be conducted after fulfilling all the above stated requirements.
